Job Specification:
Responsible for design coordination and design management of the concept design, detailed design and leading a team for preparation of tender documents for a multi-disciplines industrial project ;
Review design in terms of functionality and quality for construction drawings;
Responsible for interface coordination to ensure the design well –coordinated and detailed in the drawings;
Review and evaluate tenders for construction projects from technical standpoint;
Initiate and provide the value engineering service for the client for cost and programme benefit;
Provide technical support during the construction stage;
Familiar with the government procedure and permit requirement and provide the advice to the project team including the client.
Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertaking risk management in specialist roles.
Key qualification:
Bachelor's degree with electrical or mechanical background
Minimum 12 years’ experience on E&M design and design management, preferably with global consultants or clients
Charted Engineer in the recognized professional institute
Familiar with civil/structure related local codes and standards, as well as international standards
Good skills in communication, willing to under pressure and with a team
Good command of English in writing and speaking
Less experience to be considered as deputy design manager
